video game: stalker 2

lately i've been OBSESSED with stalker 2. it's an fps game where you explore the chornobyl exclusion zone and look for artifacts. there are mutants and zombies too.

sometimes i like to pretend that i am looking for artifacts irl, but i haven't been able to go exploring because i work all the time and it's really cold. but the game is so exciting!! i love the cutscenes and it's very beautiful.

the lore of the game is really cool too, and the story paths you choose can reflect your own personal philosophies on the zone, which can of course be interpreted as a microcosme of the natural world, and in particular nature and non-human ecosystems.

it makes me want to get into urbex so bad!!

music: false light

lately i've been listening to false light by white ward. it's a black metal band from ukraine. there are some really nice moments, and some real headbangers too! my favorite tracks are "salt paradise" and "false light".

i'm not very good at recognizing words in music, so i don't know much about the themes in the album. i haven't listened to metal in a little while, but it's really fun! i just wish i knew someone who shared my interest in this kind of music...
